Back Pain Treatments
At our pain management clinic, we focus on identifying the underlying cause of your back pain and developing a personalized treatment plan that can help you achieve lasting relief. Initial treatments often include physical therapy, which can help strengthen the muscles that support the spine, improve posture, and reduce strain on the back.
For acute pain or inflammation, we may recommend nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or muscle relaxants. In more complex cases, such as a herniated disc or spinal stenosis, epidural steroid injections can target the affected area to reduce inflammation and pain. Radiofrequency ablation is another option that can be used to target nerve pain when conservative treatments aren’t enough. For some patients with severe, chronic pain, surgical interventions such as spinal fusion or disc replacement may be considered when non-invasive treatments have not provided sufficient relief.
