Carlen Corkern, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with 14 years of experience caring for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. She is dedicated to helping patients regain function, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life through individualized treatment plans.

A Louisiana native, Carlen grew up in Baton Rouge and earned a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University before completing a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at LSU Health Shreveport. Throughout her career, she has been committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while taking the time to listen, educate, and partner with each patient in developing the most appropriate treatment plan. She strives to help every patient achieve meaningful pain relief and an improved quality of life.

Outside of work, Carlen enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, and exploring the beauty of the mountains. She loves staying active through hiking, biking, Pilates, and other outdoor activities. These experiences reflect her commitment to living an active lifestyle and reinforce the importance of helping her patients stay active and enjoy the activities they love.
